Implant placement is done under local anesthesia, so you feel almost nothing during the procedure. Once it wears off, most patients only have mild soreness or slight swelling for the first 2-3 days - similar to a tooth extraction, and easily managed with ordinary pain relief.
The process has a few key steps: examination and CBCT to assess the bone, planning and placing the implant (usually 30-60 minutes per fixture), waiting 2-6 months for it to integrate, then fitting the final crown. With a surgical guide, placement is precise and minimally invasive.
What really determines a comfortable experience is the dentist's skill and careful planning. At Lux Dental, every case is planned on 3D imaging and clearly explained before we begin, so you feel completely reassured.
